Please read!
I know you are busy today catching up on all there is to do. Especially going through emails.
But there is something I really want to share with you.
I’ll keep it short.
It used to be when I returned from a holiday weekend, it would take me a day or two to get organized and focused again. It was frustrating to me to not be productive as I sorted through mail, email, and voicemails.
A few years back I incorporated a few routines into my schedule to help me manage my time – and put me back on track as soon as I returned to my desk from anytime away.
If you feel like you need support in getting organized before the next long holiday weekend, check out my video below. (But come back to find out about my 4th tip!)
3 Tips for Preparing to be a Great Time Manager
- Clean and organize to make space for all the new great things coming your way. Clean off your desktop so that you can access files and information quickly.
- Take an entire week to time how long it takes you to do the tasks that you do on a regular basis. That will help you decide if there are tasks that you can delegate, automate or eliminate the various tasks on your to-do list.
- Find a great calendar system! Whether it’s an electronic calendar or a “Day-Timer”-like system with paper and pen. Pick something that will work best for you.
My 4th Tip!
Since I recorded that video, I’ve discovered a great planner and calendar system.
Michael Hyatt’s Full Focus Planner. It helps me to incorporate by every day to do’s with my long-term goals. Helping me to be a better time manager too!
Using Michael’s system I’ve been able to stay focused and on target every day!
