These next few weeks leading to the end of the year tend to be a busy time for everyone. Whether you are celebrating holidays, traveling, or involved with year-end financial and planning decisions for your household or business, time just seems to slip away.
Mystery shopping companies are pretty much operating at full throttle with most clients through the end of the year, and shops need to be completed during November & December.
There are no holidays in mystery shopping.
Many clients need this last round of shops to compile year-end reports. Mystery shops may take part in bonus decisions and year-end employee reviews. In our effort to meet our client’s goals, we ask for you to consider the following:
- When you receive email solicits for a shop – please check your calendar before applying for the shop. We know some shoppers just click on reply and say yes if it’s in a place that’s within their shopping area. However, when they receive the assignment they realize that other commitments prevent them from being able to meet the deadline. This results in rework on the scheduler’s part, and typically a delay in getting information back to the client.
- We count on our shoppers to be committed to the shops they agree to take. While everyone has emergencies, and we do understand they happen, please follow through and finish those shops you have told us you would. We have a commitment to our clients to deliver the goods – and you are our only way of doing so.
- Check – everything! Due dates, scenarios, spelling and grammar in your report. Accuracy and details count!
Communication and planning are a shopper’s best friend to completing a shop and maintaining an “A” status with any company. Enjoy your holiday season, but be sure not to over book assignments or take on more mystery shops than you can complete.
Be sure to follow these rules the rest of the year as well!
