We all have those employees who go above and beyond.
The ones who ‘get’ your vision. Who pick up and do what needs to be done. The people not driven by ego, but by ethos. They want the company to do well, so in turn, they do their job well.
So how do we keep our best employees – our superstars?
Do you remember when you were brought on board with your current employer? I bet one of the ‘perks’ was a promise of training and development.
Truth is, beyond onboarding training, many organizations leave their employees in the lurch. Expectations are that they will learn on the job. Or have a manager that cares enough to ‘bring them along.”
But does this really happen?
A Gallup poll revealed 87% of millennials say that professional development and career growth are very important.
Another study reveals 68% of workers say that training and development is the most important company policy.
So, what systems do you have in place to support your superstars and help them to grow?
The cost of replacing an employee far supersedes the cost of training to promote the growth and development of current employees.
And companies who invest in employees enjoy a 24% higher profit margin than those who spend less.
Give Your Best Employees What They Want
When your organization focuses on developing specific job skills – especially soft skills used in other areas of life – the rate of retention rises significantly.
Statistics show your employees, especially your superstars, really want to learn and contribute to your company. They want to know how to better work effectively with others in the workplace, when networking, and even with their family.
Recognizing this need to nurture the talents, and hearts, of employees in companies big and small, I am offering two new programs designed to teach and inspire your employees.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS
PRESENTED BY ANGELA MEGASKO
Becoming the CEO of Your One and Only Life
Mystery shopping is a way for business managers to assess their customer’s experiences.
What if individuals were mystery shopped? How would you be perceived?
We may not all have the CEO position in the jobs we do or the committees on which we sit. But you do manage, implement, and create your one and only life. Exploring to know if your reality and your perception are in alignment is a good thing to do every so often.
Taking a bird’s eye view of one’s self in relation to experiences you have in all areas of life provides insight. Insight into changes you may want to make in your life and in your relationships.
This workshop explores the interactions we have with others in these areas* of our lives:
- Boundaries – Where and when do we say yes, where and when do we say no, and are we setting boundaries?
- Creativity – Is our creativity nurtured through our work or play?
- Passion – Discernment for knowing if we are living out our life’s purpose
- Relationships and love – Do we take our most important relationships for granted? Or do we cherish and develop them as we are intended to do?
- Truth – how often do speak your truth? Do you respond to others to keep them happy, while suppressing your own certainty?
- Trust – Can you be trusted? Who do you trust?
- Connection – Do you make a true connection to others, and to the work you do?
*The workshop can also be customized to touch on one or just a few of these points. Each can stand alone.
Becoming the CEO of Your One and Only Life is an interactive personal and professional development workshop. Much like a mystery shopper does, we will take an objective stance to examine each of these areas in your life.
The day allows for introspection and interaction with others (should you choose). Guidance is provided as to how each area affects their work, parenting, relationships, and general wellbeing in life.
Attendees of Becoming the CEO of Your One and Only Life learn how to manage each area to gain maximum success in becoming a confident manager of their life, job, and relationships.
If Your Heart Had a Voice, What Would It Say?
In this world of constant social media chatter, talking heads jabbering about every subject imaginable, and instant accessibility to you by others, many feel they have lost their connection to that part of them that truly defines who they are – their heart.
Distractions pull us away from our centers.
Social media, television and advertisements everywhere are shouting to you, telling you your work should be this, your home should be that and your relationships should be like the one you are watching on your screen.
The standards of others can be daunting.
Your spouse, manager, co-workers, kids and friends fill your head with their problems and their needs. You are the center of your home, your department, your company, and everyone needs you every day.
The expectations and needs of others often overwhelm us and send our stress levels through the roof.
The truth is, all those shouting voices get garbled. Just like the latest fad diet or exercise program, you try a bit of this and a little of that. As you do the connection to your own opinions and authentic self begin to yo-yo like our diets.
Dependent upon who you are talking to, you begin to speak their truth rather than the truth from your heart.
You say “yes” when you want to say “no.”
You say “sure” when you want to say “wait.”
You rarely say “let me think about it.”
This professional development workshop has been created as a day for you and your employees to honor that deep place within that is your core – with the values, beliefs and energies that drive individuals to be the persons they are – in and out of the workplace.
Unlike other programs where you are taught how to think differently, manage your time, (time can’t be managed, it can only be successfully used) and change yourself to adapt to others, If Your Heart Had a Voice, What Would it Say is a unique program which will open participants to:
– Connect with who you really are
– Create more time in your life through following your core values
– Modify your approach to understand others and have others understand you
This workshop will help employees gain an understanding of how to use their strengths, best talents, and beliefs to bring more value to their job and your workplace.
