One of the reasons why people are more frequently choosing to employ themselves in a corporate company is it’s less of an investment compared to venturing into a new business. When you are employed with a larger company, you only have to invest in clothes, dining out and of course transportation costs. Venturing into a start-up business, on the other hand, would mean investing in every little thing.
However, wouldn’t it be ideal if you can still earn income without having to invest in corporate clothes, daily transportation costs and daily dine out? Sounds too good to be true, right? Think again. This can be your job with mystery shopping. Mystery shopping will not enforce a dress code, force you to figure out meals, and require you to leave the house Monday thru Friday. Mystery shopping simply allows you to shop during a scheduled time and you can do the rest of the work at home.
How is that possible, you might ask? Generally, a mystery shopper shops at a designated store or branch of the hiring company, works on his or her report regarding the shopping experience, submits the report to the hiring company and gets paid. Once a mystery shopper accepts a task, he or she will then assign a day to visit the store, evaluating everything based on the instructions of the hiring company. After the shopping experience, he or she will then create a comprehensive report and submit it before the deadline.
In essence, there is no need for the mystery shopper to dress corporately as you are wanting to portray a regular customer. Transportation costs are also generally cheaper given that it is only during store visits that you need to visit. A mystery shopper will only have to devote his or her time in shopping in addition to creating the report. Although shopping is necessary, which means having to buy something, usually the hiring company would reimburse any purchases during the store visit.
So, if you want to invest less but still earn a great income, a mystery shopping job is a great alternative. Just remember to have a keen sense for observing, even the slightest details inside the store, from cleanliness and organization to customer service, as this is essential necessity for all mystery shoppers.
