WHAT IS MYSTERY SHOPPING?
Mystery shopping is a great opportunity for people to earn extra money. As a mystery shopper, you are an independent contractor who can work when you would like and only on assignments that are of interest to you.
Mystery shopping has amazing side benefits. You get to use your observation skills. Your people skills. And your writing skills. You can mystery shop with your children, with your spouse, and with your friends. Sometimes you can even mystery shop with your pet!
But the underpromoted value of mystery shopping is understanding what life is like for others. Observing the actions of employees helps people to become more sensitive to others stresses. It makes you look for better customer service. And most of all, after observing many different forms of service to customers – it makes you aware of your treatment of others.
Once you have spent time watching how others interact with you, it makes you sensitive to how you interact as well. It goes back to the golden rule – treat others as you would want to be treated.
